When you have oisters ,what days??
Close to the KOA. Food was good, waitress friendly and helpful. Prices on the high end.
MoreFood always great. Friendly service. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu
Hidden little gem for great food
We went on a Wednesday night and it was crowded, as well as loud. We had a party of 9 with no problems however. The food was excellent and the staff were very pleasant. We brought in an outside birthday cake and they accommodated us without problem.
MoreFood was delicious and service was great!
The food is cooked to perfection. Be prepared for healthy servings, large but not insanely so. Unless you like onion rings. Don't miss them. They're served in a mountain fit for three, and definitely are among the best I've ever eaten. The jambalaya grits are not to be missed, either!
MoreGreat food, great service. The fried soft shell crab platter was huge. The French fries are cut into interesting swirly shapes and are delicious.
MoreRuby red shrimp!!! Taste like lobster!!! Tku!
My first time having crawfish and is was delicious.
By far the best restaurant around. You will not find a better stuffed crab or stuffed bell pepper! This restaurant is one you should not pass up. Consistently great quality across the board with all menu items.
MoreJambalaya is great!:))
Ordered today, only take out available due to the quarantine...this meal brighten our day, stuffed trout, absolutely delicious, thanks for being open!!!
MoreExcellent food and service! First time having traditionally prepared crawfish. We tried several of the recommended dishes... And they were all amazing.
MoreDelicious seafood. Friendly wait staff. The Boiled Crabs and Jambalaya Grits is wonderful.
MoreThe best fried seafood in a town full of fried seafood. Fried shrimp are fantastic. Good gumbo if you like the okra kind. I do.
MoreDelicious food! Awesome staff! Treated us great even though we came in late and we're there past closing. The seafood is so good, and the chocolate cake is to die for. Absolutely go.
MoreWe called at 715 Friday and asked if they had a wait and was told no wait at that time so I SAID we were on our way and hostess said OK ,we arrived at 735 and was told they were fixing to close and turned us away We were disappointed to say the least We like to come here at least once or twice a month but that was a waste of our time and I understand about the covid and employee problems but were having but don't mislead your customers
MoreLove all there food & the service is always on point😉 my favorites would have to be there salads, Angus Roast beef po-boy, & boiled crawfish😋 thanks y'all for everything ya'll do keep it up🤗
MoreVery happy with the service and excellent food.
We were told this place had the best seafood in the area and, although I have nothing to compare, I can believe it. The food was outstanding and fresh and the atmosphere was fun and friendly. We were lucky to have gone early as it was getting crowded when we left.
MoreService , ambience, price and quality was excellent
Consistently delicious food. Great burgers, delicious boiled seafood, big juicy oysters. Maybe my favorite Harahan haunting place.
MoreSome of the best seafood you’ll find in or out of New Orleans. It’s a pretty short drive out of the city and well worth it. Delicious and very reasonably priced with a friendly staff.
MoreEveryone in the place is nice, polite and helpful. Food is great . The grits are the bomb. And the corn and crab soup is the best.
MoreI love the down home atmosphere , And the food is good
Delicious crawfish ,good size and very tasty,Chargrilled oysters were good ,but the gravy that comes with is not the best combinations.
MoreFood is amazing and staff is awesome! On my list for my next visit to LA
Great food great prices great service. Highly recommend and don't skip dessert
A hidden gem. From the outside, it doesn’t look like much, however inside is a seafood lovers paradise. Have been several times now, and has quickly become one of my favorite go to spots for lunch. Have had the Shrimp & Grits, top notch. Charles seafood platter is enough for two people, and very tasty. Would recommend this to anyone in town visiting as opposed to the more commercial seafood places. You will get better food, and stretch your dollar further. Lastly... do not leave without trying the Praline Bread Pudding. Outstanding!
MoreExcellent small seafood place. Tuesday night oysters on the half shell for $5.99 a dozen were ice cold and salty just like they should be. Excellent deal.
MoreCharles Seafood has a great cozy atmosphere. The food is delivered very quickly and always in healthy New Orleans serving sizes. They have a large selection of beers and seafood ranging from fried shrimp, catfish, oysters and grilled tuna and mahi mahi. Whenever I am back home in New Orleans, we always make a stop. They also have tasty boiled crawfish and crabs. Make sure to check them out next time you are in the area.
MoreNice neighborhood restaurant. Fast and polite service, great seafood. Best Royal Reds I've had anywhere. Boiled crabs are perfectly cooked and well seasoned.
MoreVery good food and friendly staff
Surprisingly bright and updated inside...not what you expect compared to the outside. Excellent service! Food is very good, but a little pricey. Got the seafood bucket - shrimp, crab legs (small) and corn on the cob very good. The two lobster tails were not that good...very tough and hard to get open and take apart. We go back all the time.
MoreHubby and I like trying new dishes and often share. Placed our order saying we'd share but when served no extra plates or soup spoon. No tarter sauce for the fish & no one around to ask... service lacked, food was descent but small portions for the price.
MoreVery good food and the staff is very prompt and courteous
My husband and I just visited this spot and enjoyed it. Although our oysters was a little salty but overall great food and friendly staff. Would definitely visit again👍👍
MoreStuffed fish was delicious. Great service too. Good kids menu options. Highly recommended.
MoreThe boiled crabs were very yummy. We liked the fried oysters. Stuffed crab well kind of meh! I would have liked it to be more flavorful but it was cooked well. Would go back for the boiled seafood.
MoreThis is worth the $30 Lyft ride! Such great food and service!
Oh my gosh, I make sure to come back here every time I’m home. The service is so good it feels like family, every single thing on the menu is delicious (for instance, the raw oysters, which are half off by the dozen every Tues/Wed, taste fresh and are huge; the seafood platter reliably feeds the soul; the gumbo isn’t too salty, my usual complaint at other places; even the cole slaw is great, not too much mayonnaise, and not watery). Since it’s so informal, it’s easy to bring family or friends. I really enjoy the relaxed vibe and fun bayou/NOLA decor. Very reasonable price, and today our server even gave us extra oysters because she noticed some were a bit small. I’m not a sports person, but can see that it’s also a great place for that, too. All thumbs up.
MoreReasonable prices, really good food and very friendly staff.
Friday night, Valentine's night. Packed, noisy, typical fun at an old establishment in Harahan. The service was about what one could expect on a night when the waitstaff was slammed. Our waitress was patient and took the time to get the details of our order correct. It was worth the wait. Although early in the crawfish season they were decent size, right spicy and flavorful. The onion rings were huge and delicious. My sweet tea was delicious with the right amount of sugar. Worth the money and time
MoreThe food is delicious! And the service was phenomenal! I definitely recommend eating here!
MoreHi yeah you can come at me for these claims if youd like but while working here, id had an experience where someone else placed the gumbo too early in the fridge and whilst taking it out it had molded on top, i was told to scrape it off the top and serve it to customers, im no expert but i wanna say that violates a health code. Also there was no washing hands protocol before handling food pretty sure i was one of the only ones. Enjoy yall food
MoreI come here during crawfish season and tonight I was very dissapointed for the first time. The corn and potatoes were just boiled and the crawfish came out cold with barely any flavor or spice. I informed the waiter that the crawfish was cold, he went back and replacement them but the crawfish was still cold. It was like the person that was boiling in the back got lazy. I left unhappy and felt like a waste of money and time.
MoreFirst off, service was terrible and with the exception of the chargrilled oysters , the fried seafood was very bland. I had the “fried trout” platter which tasted awfully like catfish and my wife had fried shrimp. The only reason I would go back is because I love chargrilled oysters and they were very large, delicious and reasonably priced.
MoreSome of the best stuffed crabs ever. Not full of bread filler like some restaurants but full of CRAB!! Imagine that...
MoreAs I approached, I was first intrigued by the aroma of seasoned boiled. The atmosphere is cozy, very comfortable, personable, and family oriented; everyone that greeted me had a smile and was courteous and attentive. The corn and crab bisque soup was tasty and the boiled crawfish was flavorful and seasoned well. I would recommend this place, and I will be back to try other items.
MoreWe were looking for seafood, and happened upon this spot. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but we were pleasantly surprised when we entered. This is a very nice little spot, with a semi- upscale feel. Service is fast and friendly. Not terribly expensive, and the food is really good.
